Questions For Puerto Montt

Last day in California.

Victor Jara: A Chilean teacher, theatre director, poet, singer-songwriter, and political activist. Jara's like Nick Drake meets Devendra Banhart or something, combined with a less hippie-ish Donovan, and a more Spanish/less French Peter Sarstedt. Awesome!

New Photo blog:
Flight Reaction/Part Deux

Nothing posted on it yet. Name is sort of random.. Part Deux though, since it is, after all, my second blog.

You forgot, Victor Jara: Assassinated in the National Football Stadium in Santiago--in support of Allende's Unity Party--by the US-backed Pinochetistas! Beyond that, it's nice to see him still recognized and appreciated. A beautiful voice and an important figure in Chile, Latin America, and the entirety of this crazy world.

Victor Jara is the subject of a beautiful song by Arlo Guthrie on the outstanding "Amigo" album.
